An Open Response to "Open Response to the Defender of SMACK"

Karisha,

I opted to read your Open letter after seeing the URL published in my feed.

I want to start by reminding your readers that the piece you wrote is your OPINION, and is based entirely on what you percieve reality to be.

I run the site Sorority Life Strategy (http://www.SororityLifeStrategy.com/) and have a number of slapping characters all of the same caliber as those in SMACKhouse. I can attest from exact knowledge of my own, as well as those characters you point out that *almost all* of your assertions are wrong.

The one assertion I will concur with is that one of the main strategies behind slapping is to get people to attack or burn list you. Why waste your own stamina fighting when you can easily have other people attack?

To have a strong character one must do the following:

#1 Appropriately place skill points into the correct categories. Most/many players I run across do not, and thus fight very poorly.

#2 Have the correct amounts of glam. If you've ever bothered to calculate the math it's not the number of points in Charm and Pop in an item that are important as much as it is the overall volume of items. I.E. You'll fight far more effectively with a full house worth of lower caliber glam than you wil lwith one or two BP glam items. In addition to this, once a character has more than 100 points in either Charm or Popularity, then the overall value of Glam is progressively minimized until it is only a small percentage of the fight strength of a given character.

If you ask me, or just about any other slapper in my house I'm willing to bet, providing that you promise to do a factual piece rather than a a few paragraphs of emotional outrage, any one of us would be willing to share information about our Glam, skill points, fighting styles and the like.

As far as I am personally concerned, Stats are only relevant until the player has over 10,000 in any given category. That is the point at which most statistical aberrations such as you refer to are weeded out and the statistics themselves become more reliable.

I would be happy to teach you or anyone else how to make a good strong character. You can either contact me directly or visit my web site. In the meantime, I welcome you and anyone else to attack my characters at will. I can always use the stats boost.

Picking up Bonuses and Keepsakes

So, if you don't know about this tool already then you should. It's the Sorority Life Bonus Checker (and it does a number of other games as well). When it comes to tracking down those Ollivers, Level-ups and th elike, this tool makes it a miniscule task.

Make sure you're logged in to Facebook then follow this link: http://apps.facebook.com/slbonuschecker/

Faux Fur Keepsake Outfit

Another keepsake outfit was introduced yesterday. The items can be collected from your sisters' Facebook pages. They are dropped randomly while doing events, so please be sure to post them to your Facebook page to help your sisters out.
Also a quick note about expiration dates on events and items. I have noticed that although things will say they are available until a certain date, they seem to disappear at cookie time the night before. So this outfit would only be available until cookie time on May 3rd.

Changes to Burn List

New changes made to the Burn List yesterday make it pretty obvious that you've won a grat. As seen above, you can lose the fight and still win the grat. However, if you win both the fight and the grat, you get a pretty gold banner as seen below.

How To TD yourself.

How to TD yourself.....

1) Attack an In-Crowder and take note of the amount of damage that they do to you.
2) Calculate your SPA boundary level (this should be 20% of your confidence, give or take a point)
3) Attack others, slap yourself whatever to get between your spa boundary level and the amount of damage done by an In-Crowder.
4) Attack In-Crowd person and voila, you're TD'd.

Here's how it works for me.:
My Level: 24.

1) I attack GoToGirlee -> she does 27 damage
2) I have 108 confidence (subtract the free 8 it doesn't count) -> 20% is 20 Confidence
3) Attack/Slap whatever. My trick is no not ever spa up more than once, then fight my way down.
4) Attack GoToGirlee.

And, once you get the hang it's easy. My lvl 24 has 762 Depressons. 95% of those are self inflicted.
